Sand Key Beach Engagement Session in Clearwater, Florida | Jack + Brooke
There’s something about an evening engagement session on the Florida Gulf Coast that never gets old. Jack and Brooke’s Sand Key Beach engagement session on May 8, 2026 was filled with beautiful coastal scenery, warm Florida light, and plenty of sweet moments between the two of them.
Sand Key is one of my favorite locations for engagement photos in the Clearwater area because it gives us so much variety while still keeping the session relaxed and easygoing. From the natural dunes and sea oats to the open shoreline and Gulf views, it creates the perfect backdrop for couples who want their photos to feel romantic, natural, and unmistakably Florida.
A Relaxed Evening at Sand Key
One of my favorite things about engagement sessions is having the time to slow down and let couples simply enjoy being together. There’s no wedding-day timeline to worry about and nowhere we need to rush off to—we can walk around, explore, laugh, and create photos that genuinely feel like you.
That was exactly the vibe for Jack and Brooke.
Throughout their session, we mixed some gently guided portraits with plenty of candid moments. I always want my couples to have beautiful portraits where they're looking at the camera, but it's usually those little in-between moments—the laughter, the way you naturally reach for one another, or the look you give each other when you forget I'm photographing you—that become some of my favorites.
Engagement Photos on the Florida Gulf Coast
As we made our way toward the shoreline, we took advantage of everything that makes Sand Key such a beautiful engagement photo location. The soft sand, coastal greenery, and Gulf of Mexico create such a timeless backdrop without taking attention away from the couple.
Beach engagement sessions also give us plenty of opportunities to incorporate movement. Walking barefoot along the shoreline, holding hands, cuddling up together, and simply having fun allows your personalities and connection to come through naturally.
It's one of the reasons I love photographing engagement sessions so much. This isn't just about getting a few beautiful photos for a save-the-date. It's about documenting this short but incredibly exciting season before you're officially married.
