St. Petersburg Engagement Session at Clam Bayou Nature Preserve | Alex + Sierra

Sierra and Alex’s engagement session at Clam Bayou Nature Preserve in St. Petersburg was the perfect mix of sunshine, greenery, and waterfront Florida views. I always love when a location gives us a little bit of everything, and Clam Bayou definitely delivered!

We started their session surrounded by all of the beautiful natural greenery throughout the preserve. The sunshine filtering through the trees gave us such a pretty backdrop while Sierra and Alex got to relax, have some fun, and just enjoy being together. As always, I mixed in a few classic portraits with plenty of those candid, in-between moments that I love so much.

From there, we made our way out toward the docks overlooking Boca Ciega Aquatic Preserve. The change of scenery gave their gallery such a great variety without having to travel to multiple locations. Between the water, docks, greenery, and gorgeous Florida sunshine, it felt like the perfect St. Petersburg engagement session.

One of my favorite things about engagement sessions is getting that time with my couples before their wedding day. It gives us a chance to get comfortable working together, have some fun in front of the camera, and create beautiful photos without the timeline of a wedding day moving us along.

And this session made me even more excited for what’s coming next! Sierra and Alex will be getting married in Gulfport this November, and I cannot wait to have these two back in front of my camera—this time as newlyweds! 🤍
